OCN is carrying out a comprehensive renovation of the iconic Gran Hotel Las Fuentes.
OCN has carried out a large-scale comprehensive renovation of the iconic Gran Hotel Las Fuentes, a landmark property with 206 rooms, enjoying an exceptional beachfront location on the Costa del Azahar, one of the most highly regarded tourist destinations on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
The project encompassed the complete transformation of 153 bathrooms and guest rooms, carried out in two strategic phases: a first intervention in 2017 covering 57 rooms, followed by a second phase in 2018 that completed the renovation of an additional 96 units.
To ensure the highest quality in the final result, a rigorous process for selecting materials and finishes was implemented.
For the bathrooms, two distinct aesthetic and technical proposals were developed: an innovative microcement solution and an alternative in high-end rectified ceramic.
At the same time, an extensive lighting study was conducted to create welcoming, functional environments that promote guest relaxation. Additionally, various prototypes of shower enclosures, ultra-flat shower trays, thermostatic faucets, and wall-hung sanitary fixtures were installed and tested, evaluating factors such as ease of cleaning, ergonomics, durability, and user experience.
This working methodology, based on controlled experimentation prior to full-scale implementation, reflects OCN’s commitment to excellence in hotel construction. Every decision is made with a focus on simultaneously optimizing functionality, durability, and a superior sensory experience for the guest.
The result is a Gran Hotel Las Fuentes renewed according to 21st-century standards, where hotel tradition and contemporary design coexist to offer memorable stays on the Mediterranean beachfront.
