Jun 2026OCN to build Hotel Sofía in Gandía, consolidating its leadership in high-value-added hotel construction in the Valencian Community
The construction company adds a new landmark project in La Safor and consolidates its position as a company specialized in high-value-added hotel construction in the Valencian Community. In parallel, it continues work on The Bank Hotel in Valencia — a five-star Grand Luxury hotel currently under construction.
OCN has been named the construction company for the Hotel Sofía in Gandía, a four-star, 45-room establishment to be built in the heart of the city’s historic center, on Carrer dels Arcs, 6, next to the Palau Ducal dels Borja and the Colegiata de Santa María.
The project, developed by Juesvic SL and covered by Gandía City Council’s municipal hotel incentive, represents one of the most significant private investment commitments in La Safor’s tourism sector in recent years, and confirms OCN’s position as a leading construction company for developers and investors committed to quality and architectural distinctiveness.
A unique setting for a unique project.
Hotel Sofía is being built in one of the city’s most valuable heritage settings. The design is by the studios Moratal Palomino Estudio de Arquitectura and Arista Grupo, with a proposal that blends the distinctiveness of the historic setting with a contemporary conception of hotel space. The choice of location reflects the developer’s commitment to a quality urban tourism model, perfectly complementary to Gandía’s well-established holiday offering.
OCN in Gandía: track record and market knowledge
For OCN, Hotel Sofía isn’t a starting point in Gandía, but the continuation of a proven track record in the city. The company recently completed the full renovation of the Hotel RH Arena — formerly Hotel Principal — a four-star, 179-room establishment on Gandía beach. The project, carried out for RH Hoteles with an investment of more than 9 million euros, reopened in 2025 following a complete transformation of its facilities, rooms, and common areas.
A hotel portfolio growing across the Valencian Community
In Valencia, OCN delivered the Grand Hotel Centenari in 2025, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and located in Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia. A renovation of a century-old historic building that combines architectural heritage with the most demanding standards of international hospitality.
OCN is currently advancing The Bank Hotel in Valencia, a five-star Grand Luxury hotel under construction on Avenida del Puerto. The project transforms the former Banco de Valencia data center into a landmark of urban luxury: 104 rooms, an atrium with a twenty-meter-tall vertical garden, and a rooftop with a pool.
A hotel portfolio growing across the Valencian Community
Hotel Sofía is a clear illustration of OCN’s business model: technically demanding projects, distinctive locations, and clients with a long-term vision. The company applies its OCN Method to every project, based on BIM, Lean Construction, ERP, and data analysis, ensuring quality control, transparency with the client, and on-time delivery. With offices in Castellón, Valencia, and Mallorca, OCN operates mainly in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands, with an increasingly established presence in the most dynamic hotel markets on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
